That’s right you are reading correctly, the legendary band Blondie are set to return this year with a new album with a massive tour including UK dates! She has to be up there with Brown on the performers that really dedicate their lives to music, at 64 she is still going strong.
Although this is not going to be as big as the apparent This Is It tour of last year it is still going to be huge and for a Blondie fan like myself I cannot wait for their new album. Unlike Jackson there is no danger of them dropping off before it all kicks off because they have already taken part in some shows.
So Why Is This A Big Deal?
It is going to show younger stars who think they are all that on those drum kits and electric guitars who is boss and really show that after thirty years in the business a band can still be going strong. Older bands will look at this and perhaps think about making a comeback too, it could be a really great thing. If Blondie is able to make a return so can many others1.
You can actually get their Christmas release we three kings for free from their website, it is pretty awesome. This year is set to be a great one in music with artists like Blondie, Avril Lavigne and My Chemical Romance all looking to release new albums.
