Working with burst exercises is the only way you’ll ever get a flat stomach. Here I’m going to describe the theory behind the interval. You can talk more about intervals in the weight loss forum.
Intervals are more difficult than a traditional aerobic workout for sure. Keep in mind, though, that interval workouts are shorter becasue you get a lot done quickly.
Here I’m going to show you a little bit about the approach to intervals.Begin by warming up for a few minutes with some traditional exercises.
With that out of the way, you can do your first minute of intense work.
Now that the minute is over, you continue with a lower intensity for another minute or two.Now that your first iteration is finished, do it again for 5 or 6 more rounds and then do a cool-down rate for serveral minutes. Intervals are great for rapid weight loss.
Technically, you can scale an interval anywhere from a 5 sec. period to 5 minutes of hard work. The best results for fat-burn are going to require a good thrity seconds to sixty seconds of work followed by sixty to one hundred seconds of maintenance.
A common inquiry I get is about what kind of gear is best for doing intervals for fat burning.
As far as machinery goes, you should consider a treadmill and do some sprinting bursts on it to work out your abs, leg muscles and your back’s muscles too. There’s a reall benefit from engaging as many muscles at one time as you do while sprinting. There’s the calorie burn and then there’s the metabolic benefits that you get too: those last way beyond the time your workout ends.
You’re going to experience some issues transporting a treadmill wherever you go. Also, as you use it, the controls might be hard to adjust. So in reality, I try to promote use of the stationary cycle. It’s hard to move around too, but it’s less likely to cause injury. Keep it up and you’ll lose 20 pounds.
